Meezer Rule Wednesday

My first ever Meezer Rule Wednesday is...if you have a poorly sibling, don't eat all their food when they turn their nose up at it, otherwise you will get VERY fat and then suffer the consequences, which will invariably include having to go on a diet and being starved of treats and tasty foods.

I am afraid I ignored this rule, ate the food Stormie didn't want (which, as you know, was pretty much a complete bowl of food every meal time) and piled on the pounds, reaching a rather obese 6.6kgs / 14.5lbs - which is dreadful, I should be a sleek, elegant Meezer, not a wobble-belly, bubble-gut Meezer! The following picture is of fat me next to Stormie, it is not a picture of a cat and a kitten...*shame*...

I am now on a diet...50gms of Hills Senior dry food a day...that is just beyond a diet, that can only be described as STARVATION RATIONS!!! The Meowmies said that it looks like I am losing weight, they can see the shape of my leg again! Meowmie L said she will be happy when my shoulders are the widest part of my body again! OHMYGOODNESS - I am going to be starved like a wannabe model! I shall be going to see Ben Vet in the next week or so for a check-up, and to see how my weight-watching is going.

I am quite proud to announce that Stormie has been given an award posthumously from Eric and Flynn. Just before she passed away Stormie popped by their blog when Eric was poorly, to give Eric some purrs to get better...apparently this made Eric's day and they have given her the You Made My Day Award, it is displayed on her bloggie, on the right hand-side with her other awards. Thank you Eric and Flynn..Stormie would be so proud and grateful.

Hold on...I too have been given this award! My friends at the Ballicus Blog have presented this to me to welcome me to blogging! Wow, my first award! Thank you DoryDoo, Brainball, Marilyn and Chairman Mao - you make our day too.

I believe that we now need to pass this award on...I think that Storm would have passed this award on to every single cat, creature and human that came by to wish her well on her final journey, and I would like to pass this on to all who have since visited us to make sure me and my meowmies are we pass this on to all of you! You really did Make Our Day when we felt sad and down.

Castle!! What a great rule! Welcome to Meezer Rule Wednesday!!!

well, Miles is actually fatter than you, so don't worry about your weight too much buddy!

Castle you POOR meezer indeed. I am getting dragged to the VET today so that my Meowmy can see if I'm as much of a sausage as she thinks. She keeps saying I'm getting rounder and I'm a tiny meezer.

Oah Castle~!
I like your rule~!!! That's very good that you join the Meezer Rule Wednesday~! That is good :)

I think you have perfect figure, never worry about the weight ok?

Dragonheart & Merlin said...

Castle, that is a good rule! Starvation rations do not sound very nice.

For your mom's 10K, our mom says to go out nice and easy, and then if she's feeling good after 5K, to increase the pace a little bit, and then really turn it on for the last km! Our mom says passing people who went out too fast at the end is always fun. ;)

Are there going to be aid stations along the route? Some 10Ks have them. Our mom's trick for getting fluid in at the aid stations is to get a couple of bendy-straws, and cut them short. Tuck a couple of them into her watch band or shorts pocket. When you grab a drink at the aid stations, stick a straw in and drink! It's best to have several tucked away, in case you drop one. Our mom says it's much easier to drink through a straw then to try to drink from a cup while running.

Best of luck to your mom! :)

Castle, we do not think your Meowmies will let you starve!

Besides, we think you are just a big-boned ManCat Meezer.

Oh, Castle! How horrible, buddy! That dieting thing sounds like NO FUN. I'm purring for you! I hope you get your yummy treats back, soon.

Congratulations on your award!

Castle, I think you just have a mancat figure.....kinda like me. But Meowm says I am piggy....whatever!

A very true rule. I find that periodically I am forced to diet after finishing up Georgia's food... sigh.

Congratulations on your award.

Sabrina, Sam and Simon said...

Castle, that is a good rule. I do the same thing with Sabrina and Simon's food when Momma and Daddy are out of town. What else is there to do when one is left alone with nobody to monitor who's eating whose food ... hee hee!

I as well as Sabrina and Simon are so glad that you got your own bloggy, we were hoping so much that you would!

Oh, and I want to tell you a something really cool that Momma told me. When Momma was out of town this past weekend at her and Daddy's country home she was sitting on the deck watching the clouds, and all of a sudden a big X shaped cloud appeared. She immediately thought of Stormie, and believe it or not, a cloud right underneath the X was shaped like a kitty, no fooling! Momma just knew it was Stormie watching out over everyone. I wanted to share this with you.

Purrs and headbutts (and sorry for being so long winded ... hee hee),

Oh Castle, that is an excellent rule, but I imagine hard to follow. I am the chief dish cleaner (I finish off everyones food :-) around here and I'm sure it must be affecting my waistline, hopefully I won't have to go on a diet too.

Concatulations on your and Stormie's awards - they are well deserved.

Oh dear, not the "D" word! I think you look strong and burly, not fat at all. Were you and Storm ever the same size?

Mr. Echo said...

Castle dood, that stinks about the diet. I'm 13 pounds so maybe yoo only haff to starve a littel bit? Maybe we need to git yoo a treadmill or a persunul trainer.

Hi Castle,
"Oh My" not the dreaded D word.I think you look fine.Congratulations on your award and blog :)

Camie's Kitties said...

We know precisely what you mean. Tiki sometimes gets fed 4 times a day because of his diabetes, and as a benefit, Tavi does too, and as a result, he is looking rather rounder that Mom thinks he should. But she can't only feed one of us - mol.

We are so glad you are blogging.

Castle! I am over the MOON that you are blogging and I am SO happy that every Monday will dedicated to darling Stormie! This is fantastic! I had to chuckle over your bingo wings and also your fat photo on this post. You are rather portly for a siamese but surely your human understands that it means there is more of you to love? You are going to be RAVENOUS for the next few weeks - I am sending my sincerest purrs to you!

Oh, and yes, Camilla Parker Bowles does smell of poo, but she everyone knows Diana was the real princess, she is just a poor poo smelling substitute xxx

Hi Castle! I was missing you - I'm so glad you've got your own blog!

As for that picture, er, that could be me and Silky (sizewise). Mom almost had a canniption when she set me on the scales at the vet yesterday - at first it showed 13 pounds but kept changing until it went back to 12. She was ready to take *all my food away!

I know how you feel. Jan decided I was getting a bit pudgy. Unfortunately, she discovered the new measuring cup is 2 1/2 - not 2, so the line she was filling it to ...

Let's just say, I had breakfast and I'm still hungry. So I can sure empathize with you.

PS - Congrats on your first award!

That is a great rule..unfortunately, I eat all of Tara's food, and she doesn't even feel bad! I'm up to 15 lbs! Mom says the "D" word every so often, but so far, I'm OK...

Castle, it's lovely to see that you have a blog. Some 'meezers are quite stout naturally, we call them "meaty meezers". Do bear this in mind when your Mum is rationing out the diet food ;)

Castle - we never realized the size difference of you and Storm! Thank you for your nice words, yes we know Emil and Storm and Anastasia will be best friends at the bridge and have fun and be o.k. - we still do miss them as we know you miss Storm!
That is so sweet of you to pass this nice award on to all of Storms supporters - and in her honor we will accept it and post about it next week - we have a lot of catching up to do!
