So, I have got a friend to share my home with and to keep me company during the day...well, unfortunately, we are sworn enemies at the moment, and are in separate rooms, but hopefully he will turn in to a friend/subordinate soon enough.
My Meowmies found Timmy on the UK Siamese Rescue site, his Mummy had died and he had nowhere to go. He is 13 years and 9 months old, has a scarred nose and a torn ear and is a Chocolate Point Siamese - lighter in colour to my Stormie, she was a Seal-Point Siamese. We are not 100% sure if he is used to other cats or not, but time will tell if he can accept me or not.
Timmy is living in the bathroom (just in case he sprayed or missed his litter-tray), he has 3 beds in there, but he prefers the safety of the den that Meowmie made from my pet carrier.
Meowmie kept us separated on Friday night and most of Saturday and because Timmy didn't meow or make any noises, I was completely oblivious to the fact there was another cat in the next room! I did pick up Timmy's smell on the Meowmies and sniffed them for ages though...When Timmy does meow though he has a VERY loud Meezer sqwauk...
On Saturday night I saw Timmy for the first time. We stared for a little while, taking each other in and then much hissing and spitting and growling ensued, started off by me - but we didn't go for each other, and we didn't display any attack-mode body language i.e. flattened ears, lowered body/tail, puffed-up furs.
On Sunday Meowmie left the doors open for short periods of time to encourage some wandering. Timmy is quite happy to stay in his room, he does wander very occasionally though. There was a little incident on Sunday evening - Timmy had wandered into the hallway and had his back to me, so I went up and sniffed Timmy's bum, Timmy spun around and we stared at each other briefly, and then we hissed and then I bapped him on the head, sending Timmy scurrying to his room.
Timmy has been very affectionate and loves to roll around on Meowmie's bed, however, he gets a bit nervy after a hissing session with me and has a little grumbly moan if the Meowmies try to pet him, so they leave him to calm down a little - he is slightly fractious at the moment.
So, in short, apart from hissing/growling when we see each other, I am kind of OK and not at all stressed out that another cat is hidden away in MY home, I have remained pretty relaxed - I am not at all frantic or 'on alert' despite there being another cat in the next room. Timmy on the other hand is nervous and not yet relaxed and I think finding everything a little daunting, he has been through a lot lately - Meowmie is going to keep us separated for a while longer, so Timmy can chill. I can understand he feels disorientated, but he needs to stop growling and hissing at me...and he needs to learn that the Meowmies can be trusted. He could fit in just fine if he follows those two very simple rules!

Ohhhh Castle, that is just SO wonderful that your Meowmies decided to make your home Timmy's forever home ... we are smiling so big knowing this! We know how the hissing stage goes, and we hope that it won't last long at all so that you and Timmy can spend more time together. It is great that he is an affectionate kitty and he certainly does have the meezer meow down pat ... hee hee! (None of us have that distinctive meow.) With such loving Meowmies and a wonderful brother like you, we hope he will settle down and settle in really soon! Thanks for making our day!
Purrs and headbutts,
Sabrina, Sam, Simon and Momma Jan too!
Hi Castle,
You are such a good cat.
I'll bet Timmy feels really bad at his age losing his own home and Mommy. It may take him some time to realize he is safe with your Meowmie and you.
Love and Purrs,
Missy Blue Eyes
I am so happy that the Meowmies decided to adopt Timmy. He's a lovely fellow. I hope you two can become firm friends. The signs are good. Timmy will have a lovely home with you Castle I know it!
oh YAY for your mommies adopting Timmy!!! You two will get used to each other soon!
We are so happy for Timmy! He must be so confused about his former owner not being around. We are so glad your Meowmies are giving him a loving home!!
Hope you two become great friends and brofurs!!

Hi Timmy! Nice to meet you. We are so sorry to hear your mummy died. We are sure you and Castle will end up being the bestest furrends ever.

Oh! How wonderful that your Meowmies found Timmy and brought him home! We hope that you will soon discover that you can be friends!
We think, given some time, you two will be best buds! We are so happy you have some company and that your Mom rescued him!
Hi ya, Timmy! Nice to meet you! And you do have a pretty good meow going there!

Welcome Timmy!!! I know how scary it is to move homes and meet new cats. I was just like you when I came to my furever home and you know what? Latte treated me like Castle is treating you! Now we're BEST friends. I suggest some wand toy therapy- worked wonders for us playing together (while I could still retreat in the safe room).

I think that your Meowmies are angels in Meowmie disguises.
I bet Timmy will settle in once he realizes that he is home. This has had to be so hard for him!
And you are right, once he learns those 2 simple rules,l all will be well!
Hang in there. Timmy will probably warm up soon. He has probably been alone with his previous Meowmie for 13 years and doesn't know what another cat will do!

It won't be long before you two are firm buddies. He looks like a weely nice brofer. Just gif him some time, he's a bit disorientated at the moment. Effurything will be OK. Welcome Timmy. You are very handsome.

I am so happy that he came to live with you as you have a great family :) He must be scared and sad that his Mom died and his way of life has changed.

Well, this IS exciting news! Welcome, Timmy.
It sounds like everything is going OK, so far. Keep us posted, Castle. And remember, everycat needs a forever home, so give poor Timmy a break!
Oh, yoor mommy is so wonderful to give poor old Timmy a home. It must be furry hard fur him suddenly not haffing his old mommy and being in a new place. We bet da two of yoo will be brofurs in no time.
How exciting! Timmy is a very lucky kitty to find such a wonderful forever home.
some hissing and stuff is to be expected when meeting a new sibling. it sounds like things are going fairly smoothly tho.
we hope Timmy learns to settle in and that he is loved soon. he must be very upset after all that happened to him.
he is lucky to have 2 loving mommies and a good brother
Castle that is a good reeport. Sounds vary much like when my sisfur arrived. We hissed and growled at first and thare may haff bin sum hed boppin. But now we is good furrends and I'd be lonesum without hers to chase and stuff. My littel hart swells with happiniss fur yoo and yur mummies.
We're glad your mom is not sick, but just keeping Timmy company. At age 13, he has quite an adjustment to make. And so do you. He's not your Storm, but hopefully you two can become friends.
First off, Welcome TIMMY! We're so glad to meet you! It must be very hard to lose your Mommy and your home at your age (well, any age) but you are in a really wonderful home now. Once you settle down a bit you'll see!
And Castle, we agree with Parker - your Meowmies are clearly angles in disguise! What a wonderful thing to bring Timmy home. We're sure you'll start liking him soon, it's just a matter of time!
CONGRATULATIONS!!! What a handsome chocolate! I, of course, am a chocolate (though I am getting darker with age)
Oh Castle! How good for both of you as you have both lost loved ones.
Awww he is very cute and I love his meow.I hope he settles down soon he's lucky he found a really great home...
Hugs Ariel
You have a new brofur! How wonderful!! We know all about the hissing and growling in our house. The Captain does it every time he sees Fagin.
I don't blame poor Timmy for being a little skittish--he has been through a rough time, poor buddy. I think you are going to be a great brother for him, though, Castle, once you get used to each other and he realizes that this is his new home! My momma just wants to give him a big kiss on his forehead.
Your buddy, Jimmy Joe
Welcome to Timmy! We hope he settles in soon and won't be homesick for his old home for long.
Castle you are right to go slowly and get him used to you. We think it will work out. We've been there ourselves and it worked fine.
Mindy & Moe
It's so nice to meet Timmy :-) I hope he chills soon, too, Castle. So many new things for Timmy to get used to, it must be very hard for him.
Timmy definitely has the Meezer meow! I hope he can get adjusted quickely and realize how special his new forever home is.
Oh poor Timmy lost his human! That is really sad. Castle, please help Timmy feel at home. He looks like he is sad while sitting in his (your) den. Poor poor Timmy.
Hi Castle,
Oh I am so happy your mom gave Timmy a new home. I know it will be hard for you at first, but I just know you two will be really close buddies. You know I am an applehead and I make loud noises and never shut up!
I loved the videos too! Keep us posted and I'm really happy for you!!
Oh, Castle, it's so wonderful of you and your Meowmie to open your home to Timmy! Now he won't have to be sad anymore. However, I have to hide this post from MY mom, so she won't get any ideas about keeping that Mr. Milky thing in my living furever. She says once he gets his hoohahectomy Friday we might learn to like each other when he's not so disagreeable to me. I think NOT!
Purrs,
Rocky
Hi Timmy! It's nice to meet you. We hope you get adjusted soon. Your new home is a great one!
Castle, your meowmies are so sweet to give Timmy a forever home. We hope you all adjust soon. When we first came to live here, Mama would rub each of us with a towel and then rub it on Titus and Shadow so that all of our scents could be intermingled. Maybe that would help Timmy feel a little more comfy.
Love,
Tazo
We're so happy that your Meowmies found Timmy and brought him home to be your pal.
We're looking forward to many fun adventures!

Castle you are so great to be willing to share your house with Timmy! And the poor thing! He sure had gone through A LOT! So give him some time. When Mrs. OZ came to us (who hadn't really gone trough a lot aside of living in too small a house for her and three other cats and one toddler) she hid for two weeks, only came out for food and litterbox and hissed constantly (hence her name Mrs. Hissy OhneZahn)!
She kept hissing for weeks. And weeks! And if you get on her wrong side - she STILL hisses!
But by now we really tolerate each other. Which does not mean that we socialize! Tintin has whapping games with her, I just ignore her.
But I hope you and Timmy can become REAL friends eventually! I will cross my paws!
Karl
Timmy is a handsome Meezer (as well you are) and we fink he will make a fine brother! WE is glad to see da new addition to you fambly!
Awwwww, we Balicai think it's just wunnerful that Timmy has come to live with you. Timmy sounds a lot like my sistur, Marilyn. Marilyn was, akkording to the vet, about ten to twelve years old when she came to live with us, she showed up on Momma and Daddy's back porchie as a stray. And she clearly had been an only cat fur many years. When she metted Dorydoo and Brainball, she hissed and hissed and hissed and whacked at 'em a lot, and that was efun after she stayed in her own room fur a while. But eventually things settled down, but she still is furry much her own cat -- me and Brainball and Dorydoo are all furry close and Marilyn will sleep with us sometimes but okkashionally she still gets hissy with us and she always likes plenty of purrsonal space.
But me and Dorydoo -- when I furst came, she hissed and whapped at me ALL THE TIME. Efun though we nefur gotted into bad fights. BUt as time went by we got to be bettur and bettur furriends and now we are great rassling and chasing buddies!
Huggies to yur Meowmies and welkome to Timmy -- I'm sure you and he will settle into a good relashunship just fine, and maybe you will beckome furry great furriends!
Kittyhugs and purrs from MaoMao!
Timmy's been through a lot, it seems, but he has a lovely home now. It's just a matter of adjusting and time. Welcome, Timmy!
Castle, we think it is wonderful that your mom picked up Timmy from the Siamese Rescue! We hope that you and he will become good friends in time. We are very glad that you aren't upset, and we hope that Timmy will relax in time - he's oviously been through a lot of changes!
Even Merlin and I hissed at each other when we first met, but we quickly became best friends and totally inseperable!
Timmy is a handsome Meezer, and we can't wait to get to know him better!
I am so glad that your Meowmies found Timmy and brought him home to you. He has been through a lot and needs some time to adjust to his new home and new people and you, Castle. I am very glad that you are relaxed and accepting (sort of). I hope the hissing stage is a short one and you can become good friends very soon.
Timmy will be a fine addition to your family, I am sure.
He just needs some time. Maybe lots of time.
Purrs Goldie and Shade
Castle, we're so glad that you'll have a companion when your Meowmies are away and that Timmy will get to share a home again. Hissing is pretty normal - we hissed at each other too when we first moved in together. We figure that you guys will get used to each other over time like we did - it's good to have another kitty to share stuff with...

Welcome Timmy to a very good forever home. You are a wonderful brother castle. Yes, this will take time. I read all of the comments here (sorry for being the last one) and there is good advice here. It takes a long time. You are doing the best though castle. You are a sweetheart and soon you two will be buddies.
purrrrs always
Hi Castle! I hope you and Timmy get to be friends soon 'cuz that will make life a lot easier for both of you. Jemima and Ruckus and I are not friends and sometimes I hear Mom and my Daddy wishing that we did not hiss at each other so much.
